Ingredients

Walking s'mores
  • 4 can (snack-size bag) Golden Grahams cereal (or similar) Snack-size cereal bags; keep cereal inside.
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows Add to each bag so they melt into the cereal.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Add to each bag; melt to coat the cereal and marshmallows.

Method

Fill the cereal bags
  1. Carefully open each snack-size bag of Golden Grahams cereal (or similar) without removing the cereal.
  2. Add mini marshmallows and chocolate chips to each opened bag.
  3. Seal the bags loosely or roll down the top to keep contents from spilling.
Melt by campfire heat
  1. Place the bags near (not directly on) campfire heat for 3-5 minutes, rotating occasionally.
  2. Wait until the bags are warm enough for the chocolate and marshmallows to melt.
Mix and eat
  1. Mix contents by gently shaking each bag until the cereal is coated and the mixture looks glossy.
  2. Eat immediately with a spoon or directly from the bag.

Notes

Pro tip: keep the bags close to the heat but not touching the flames or coals to prevent scorching—rotate every minute so they melt evenly. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 2 days, though the texture won’t be as gooey; freezing is not recommended. For a dietary swap, use dairy-free chocolate chips to make it dairy-free while keeping the same campfire method.
