Ingredients

Caramel popcorn
  • 4 cup caramel popcorn
Pretzels
  • 2 cup pretzels or pretzel sticks
Mixed nuts or peanuts
  • 1 cup mixed nuts or peanuts
Candy corn
  • 1 cup candy corn
Candy-coated chocolate
  • 1 cup autumn M&Ms or orange and yellow candy-coated chocolate
Chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or fall-colored chips
Corn Chex cereal
  • 1 cup corn Chex cereal
White chocolate drizzle
  • 0.25 cup white chocolate melted
Orange food coloring
  • 0.25 tsp orange food coloring optional

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan

Method

Build the base
  1. Combine the caramel popcorn, pretzels, mixed nuts, corn Chex cereal, and chocolate chips in a large bowl.
  2. Melt the white chocolate (tint orange if desired) until smooth, then drizzle it over the mix.
Set and finish
  1. Toss gently, spread on a parchment-lined sheet, and let set for 10 minutes at room temperature, until the drizzle looks firm and dull.
  2. Break apart any clusters and fold in the candy corn and autumn M&Ms (or orange and yellow candy-coated chocolate) until evenly distributed.
Store
  1. Transfer to an airtight container and store for up to 1 week, keeping it in a cool, dry place.

Notes

For best crunch, drizzle the white chocolate in thin lines and avoid overmixing right after drizzling. Store in an airtight container up to 1 week (no freezing). For a nut-allergy swap, use roasted sunflower kernels or pumpkin seeds in place of mixed nuts/peanuts.
